OVERVIEW
These consist of all the services that can be performed on a frame/fork. All new bikes and frames that I sell receive this treatment and all moderately serious riders should have this performed on their existing bikes. This process forms the basis of the Race Assembly. This process is critical for the proper functioning and longevity of components as well as your safety and enjoyment. Is your bike going to look any different if it has a Frame Preparation performed? The most trained eye might see a difference...this service is for function, not fashion. Consider this the foundation of your "bicycle" house. While one would think that modern frame production methods would eliminate the need for manual machining, that's not the case. I've seen my fair share of $12,000 custom frames (which then build into ~$23,000 bikes) with alignment issues only explained by Mr. Magoo doing the final quality control. Even companies which pride themselves on "perfection" routinely sell bikes their literature says are not acceptable because they are out of tolerance (hey, don't shoot the messenger, I'm quoting directly from some of their published literature).
HIGHLIGHTS
COST
Maximum $150 per bare frameset, disassembly more

New and used framesets and bicycles
UPGRADES over anything
The most comprehensive frame and fork inspection and correction possible within a normal shop that dosnn't have a frame table or other serious framebuilding equipment (and very few shops have that!)
NOTES
You didn't think this was all without some legalese, did you? Well, not that much. Bikes that are already assembled will incur a small disassembly charge as will unusually dirty bikes.
